Slovak professional cyclist Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale)wins stage 1 at Tour de Swiss 2012 - opening time trial 7,3 km in Lugano. He beat homeland favourite Fabian Cancellara (RadioShack-Nissan), third was Italian Moreno Moser (Liquigas-Cannondale). Another Slovak cyclist Peter Velits (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) ended on place 19 with the gap 25 seconds on leader. Full results of Stage 1. Portuguese Faria da Costa (Movistar Team) wins stage 2 Verbania - Verbier of Tour de Swiss, second was Frank Schleck (LUX., RadioShack-Nissan-Trek team ) and third was Mikel Nieve (ESP., Euskaltel-Euskadi team ). Roman Kreuziger ended on the place 9 (+1:57 minute), Peter Velits ended on the place 32 ( +7:38 minute), Peter Sagan  ended on the place 102 (+ 25:31 minutes). Stage 9 Tour de Swiss 2012: Näfels - Sörenberg 215,8 km  Article Code-no: Sport-Eu-En-23 from June 17, 2012
Stage 9 profile. In final mountain stage 9 from Näfels to Sörenberg won Estonian Tanel Kangert (Astana Pro Team), second was Franchman Jeremy Roy (Equipe cycliste FDJ-BigMat) and third ended Italian Matteo Montaguti (AG2R LA MONDIALE). In final general classification of the race secured overall victory at the Tour de Swiss 2012 Faria da Costa (Por., Movistar team), second ended Frank Schleck (LUX. , RadioShack-Nissan-Trek) with the gap 14 seconds, third ended American Levi Leipheimer (Omega Pharma-Quick-Step) with the gap 21 seconds. Roman Kreuziger finished sixth overall with the gap 47 seconds, Peter Velits ended in overall classification on the place 35 with the gap 29:27 minutes. Peter Sagan ended overall on the place 65 (+56:00 minutes) and secured victory in points classification with 102 points, second was Italian Matteo Monataguti with 32 points as Swiss Albasini ended DNF.
